Contacta’s comprehensive trainings courses are well know in the industry for providing both a theoretical and practical hands-on learning experience. Trainings are designed for installers, architects, consultants, or integrators to learn the foundations of hearing loop systems and/or other assistive listening technologies including: Infrared, Radio Frequency, One-to-One Systems and Window Intercom Systems.
Trainings cover IEC standards, installation methods, loop design, sound principles, testing and understanding background noise, use of meters for conducting site surveys, product specification and industry best practices. We train to the latest North American standards including the US ADA Compliance. Our goal is to ensure that you have all the tools, resources and knowledge to correctly install a hearing loop system that not only meets the international IEC 60118-4 standard but also provides a quality system for the end user.
During our training courses, you learn not only from the instructors but from your peers as well. There is a wide knowledge base shared due to new and existing dealers in attendance. Trainings are open to those at any experience level for continuing education purposes, training on new products and to learn the most up to date information for installation and compliance standards.
Due to the in-person limitations that COVID-19 has presented, we have developed online training courses that can be attended by groups of any size. Online training allows our instructors to be flexible when we conduct the courses and has allowed us to tailor trainings for any product range and any experience level. Training courses can be recorded and shared with colleagues or to be used as reference throughout your installation process.

Trainings are facilitated by Contacta staff who have a wealth of experience and knowledge, providing both theoretical and practical hands-on learning experiences. They’re great at working with engineers who are absolute beginners with hearing loops as well as those who have worked with similar systems previously.
Certificates are sent to all attendees upon the completion of the training course. Additionally, a certification badge will be given signifying you’re trained and supported by Contacta. This badge can be used on proposals, email signatures or other sales related literature.
Contacta hosts an annual Dealer Meeting for our existing dealers and distributors. Each year, the 3 day meeting allows those in the industry to network, share case studies, learn about new products and software and to receive further technical training as well as sales/marketing support. Guest speakers and hearing loss advocates are invited to provide dealers the most up to date industry information as well as to provide deeper training on industry related subjects such as electromagnetic interference.
Our dealer network is the pillar of our business. It covers the majority of the United States and the whole of Canada. We look forward to hosting the meeting each year to strengthen our dealers and our relationships with them.
